CRUD operations with user profiles

The user profile wraps the user and stores additional information such as first name, last name, avatar, etc. When creating a user, you must also create a user profile. The user profiles in Sitefinity CMS are represented by the Telerik.Sitefinity.Security.Model.SitefinityProfile class.

The SitefinityProfile class inherits the UserProfile class, which is used as base class when creating custom user profile implementations.

The SitefinityProfile class exposes the following properties for storage of additional user-related information:

  • About
Represents a descriptive text about the user.
  • Avatar
Represents the image used as the user’s avatar. For more details, see the Setting user’s avatar example.
  • FirstName
    Represents the user’s first name.
  • LastName
    Represents the user’s last name.
  • User
Represents an instance of the user that the profile belongs to.

To manage the user profiles, use the Telerik.Sitefinity.Security.UserProfileManager class.
